Bill has served as the Executive Director of SAGE since 2016. SAGE focuses on building entrepreneurship within Colorado by connecting industry advisors and mentors to Colorado’s most promising early-stage startups.SAGE has worked with over 150 startups since its founding in 2007. In his role, he connects with Universities, cities and business entities to identify promising startups, and forms advisory teams that help propel startups on their journeys. When Bill is not working with startups, he turns his attention to training mid level and senior level managers at Fortune 500 companies. He’s a Senior Trainer with Duke University’s Corporate Education department at the Fuqua School of Business. His focus areas are strategy development, strategy execution and organizational development.He also serves as a Board Member for a Northern Colorado Water Utility, where he deals with both new strategic water projects and existing operational systems.Bill retired from Hewlett-Packard as a Director of Research and Development and served in the U.S. Air Force as a researcher, Assistant Professor (USAF Academy) and Aircraft Engineer.He is an Alumni of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Stanford University (MS) and Wright State University (MBA).Bill is thrilled to be participating in Fort Collins Startup Week 2020.
